The event will occur from 23-28 April 2023 in Vienna\, Austria. \nEGU is a non-profit international union of scientists that aims to promote research and education in the Earth\, planetary\, and space sciences. EGU was founded in 2002 and has more than 20\,000 members from over 140 countries. One of EGU’s primary activities is the organization of an annual General Assembly\, which brings together scientists from various fields of geosciences to present and discuss their research findings. The General Assembly is one of the largest scientific conferences in the world. It provides a platform for scientists to exchange ideas\, collaborate\, and keep up-to-date with the latest developments in their field. The General Assembly features a wide range of sessions\, including oral and poster presentations\, short courses\, and debates\, covering topics such as atmospheric sciences\, geology\, hydrology\, oceanography\, and planetary science. \nAs part of its participation at EGU 2023\, GREAT is organizing two events: \n\nSplinter meeting: Connecting the Dots: Technical\, Providers and User Perspectives on the Green Deal Data Space\nESSI2.2 session titled “Data Spaces: Battling Environmental and Earth Science Challenges with Floods of Data.”\n\nIn addition\, the GREAT Advisory Board will hold a meeting at the EODC premises in Vienna the same week. \n  \nSplinter meeting: Connecting the Dots: Technical\, Providers and User Perspectives on the Green Deal Data Space\nA Green Deal Data Space Splinter meeting will be organized on 26 April from 10:45 to 12:30 CEST in room 2.61.  \nWatch the video or check the event’s programme\, target audience and other information here. \nhttps://www.greatproject.eu/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/GREAT-Splinter-meeting-3-1.mp4\n\nESSI2.2 session titled “Data Spaces: Battling Environmental and Earth Science Challenges with Floods of Data.”\nGREAT representatives\, together with other colleagues\, are also organising a session in Earth & Space Science Informatics programme group focusing on Data\, Software and Computing Infrastructures across Earth and space sciences. \nThe session will be organised in the form of oral and poster presentations. \nConvener: Magdalena Brus | Co-conveners: Kaori Otsu\, Paolo Mazzetti\, Lesley Wyborn\, Francesca Piatto\n\n\n\nOrals| Wed\, 26 Apr\, 08:30–10:10 (CEST)\, Room 0.51 \n\n\nPosters on site| Attendance Thu\, 27 Apr\, 16:15–18:00 (CEST)\, Hall X4 \n\n\n\n\n\nGREAT’s Marta Gutierrez (EGI) will present GREAT at 08:30.
